Kanektok River - "The Chosen River" Travel Adventures' Ratings

Escorted Steelhead Trip:  October 12-18, 2008.  Call Now!

This "Chosen Spot" is located in the designated Wilderness Area of the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge and right in the “heart” of the best Rainbow Trout water on the Kanektok River. Guests have the option of float fishing for Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Dolly Varden , Grayling, or they can walk and wade small remote side channels where it is possible to spot and stalk large Leopard Rainbows.  doing both is also an easy possibility.

Fly fishing for Salmon is equally remarkable. This section of the Kanektok River has a lot of great holding water and habitat for the strong runs of King, Chum, Pink, Sockeye, and Silver salmon. This is wilderness fishing at its best, it is not uncommon to fish all day and not see another angler.

Limited to 12 guests with one guide and two guests per boat.

FISHING: Big rainbows, Dolly Varden, etc.  Just as described above!   Jet boats navigate the river, from pool to pool. Dries, streamers, egg patterns and nymphs. Fishermen of any age or skill that desire the solitude of the river and a remote location are going to love this place, and catch fish!
