Puerto Nativo is located 1300 km
south of Santiago, on
mythological Chiloé Island. This island is the biggest of
an archipelago which, in total, comprises more than thirty
islands. The Lodge was built in 1997 by Carmen and Marco Ancares in a rustic
style with native woods. The double and triple rooms, all with
private bathrooms, are all very clean, nice and warm. And when
you are not fishing you'll enjoy the library, the corner for
fly tying, bar with excellent Chilean
wines.
At Puerto Nativo you will find a delicious cuisine with
traditional Chilean and Italian dishes. One of the most
interesting characteristics of the Lodge is that it is
in the middle of the Island and therefore only a short distance
to
different rivers and lakes; this permits the fly fisherman to
choose, if they want, a different place where to fly-fish each
day.
Chiloé Island is a paradise for all people who love tranquility,
silence and fishing as a way to be closer to nature.
Marco dedicates to this passion a great part of his time, not
only going fishing but also looking for new unknown places where
fishing is excellent . He also observes nature in order to
create his artificial flies which he shares with other anglers.
The fishing season is from the end of November until early May.
You need a fishing license. In these months you could find coho salmon, brown and rainbow trout. |

Please call. ACCOMMODATIONS AND CAPACITY:
4 rooms, all with private bath. Limited to four anglers.
INCLUSIONS: Airport-lodge-airport
transfers, transfers to and from fishing locations, all meals
(breakfast, lunch, dinner; cocktails and wines), fishing licenses,
guides (speaking English, Italian, and Spanish languages),
boats, float tubes, etc..
EXCLUSIONS:
International flights,
domestic flights, fishing equipment, and items of a personal
nature: phone calls, laundry, etc.. |

| LOCATION:
Puerto Nativo Lodge is
placed 1300 km south of Santiago, at the mythological island
of Chiloé. Chiloe's main city is
Castro, which is about an hour and a half car ride far from the
Lodge. At Castro you will find all the services of a modern
city. SEASON:
End of November until early May.
HOW TO GET THERE: Fly in to
Puerto Montt (PMC) airport
from Santiago (SCL), and then a beautiful 3 hour car ride through the
Island to the Lodge.
Travel
