Enjoy fly fishing the best waters of Argentina's Patagonia
region with Jorge Graziosi and his Safaris Acuaticos staff. Jorge
is Argentina's most known and respected fly fisherman. His
knowledge and local connections make him a top choice as an
outfitter in Argentina. Fish from Cholila and Jorge's new
Carrileufu Lodge built in 1998 as well as the Esquel and Rio Pico
area. Also fish from Junin de los Andes: beautiful rivers like the
Malleo, Rio Chimehuin, and the Quilquihue. Or even venture to
Tierra del Fuego and fish from Ton-Ken Lodge or Los Morros Lodge
fishing for giant sea-run brown trout. Jorge always takes you were
the fish are!
The new lodge was planned and built for the fly fisherman.
Located in the Rio Carrileufu Valley, it has six bedrooms with
baths. It is 10 miles from the Rio Rivadavia with take out only
400 yards from the lodge.
As always, custom planned itineraries are arranged that can be
of any length of time, including a three day float trip on the Rio
Chubut, for single day float trips on the Chubut or Carrileufu
upper sections. This is also the area of Butch Cassidy legends!
The fishing in the Esquel area includes the Rio Grande and Lago
Bueno. The main attraction is the Arroyo Pescado. Another areas is
the Rio Pico, a spring fed lake with trout up to 14 pounds!
You can not beat the beauty and pristine conditions of
Patagonia!
With numerous airlines serving Argentina and Chile, the air
fare to arrive in one country and depart from another is
reasonable. Fares are very competitive and service is outstanding.
Due to our experience in Patagonia, we have the full capability
to transfer you from one lodge to another. We utilize unpublished
scheduled air service, border hand offs, and special charters, so
that you can fish multiple areas.
For a more leisurely pace, we can arrange a one or two day
ferry crossing the beautiful Lago Todos los Santos and Lago Nahuel
Huapi that joins Bariloche (Argentina) and Puerto Montt (Chile).
The two day crossing includes a night in the hamlet of Peulla in a
Swiss style hotel by a magnificent falls. Plane service is also
available that takes only 45 minutes, but virtually
"rims" the Osorno volcano.
THE FISHING: Big browns and rainbows. Wading and drift boat
(large rubber rafts) fishing. Dries, streamers and nymphs.
