THE FISHING: Graham Pyatt came to New
Zealand from England primarily because of his love for trout
fishing and has over 25 years of experience fly fishing the Taupo and Rotorua regions
and he has rapidly gained an
international reputation for his in-depth knowledge of the sport
and his proven ability to provide clients with fishing
action at it's best. Graham is a long-standing member of the
New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association (NZPFGA).
Graham's fishes specifically with the visiting angler in mind
and takes you to areas renowned as world-class fly fishing
destinations. Whether you are an expert or a novice fly
fisher, you can experience the thrill of fishing the many rivers
and lakes in the central North Island, including the mighty Tongariro,
in pursuit of the abundant large brown and rainbow trout. By way of
a change, you may want to experience the thrills of raft fishing
the more inaccessible waters or night fishing the stream and river
mouths; either way, your adrenaline is guaranteed to flow.
During the summer months (December - March), Graham can escort
you to the many rivers and streams where you will be enthralled by
the dry-fly fishing and extraordinary scenery all within easy
driving distance from Turangi. Fly-in trips to more remote
areas by helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft can be arranged.
A little more relaxing but no less
exciting is the fly-fishing from Graham's well-equipped and
comfortable boat "Ragtime" at the Tongariro delta or
on the mountain lakes noted for trophy trout.

| SEASON: Taupo Rivers and Lakes
are open all season with the exception of some areas that are
closed from May 31 to December 1 to protect spawning fish.
Elsewhere in the Central North Island, the season is from
October 1 to June 30. HOW TO GET THERE: Fly to Auckland (AKL) and
Taupo (TUO),

LOCATION: Turangi, on the shores of Lake
