El Pescador has been recognized by top anglers for over 25 years.
Catering to all types of fishermen, the lodge specializes in light
tackle, salt water, fly fishing for Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit and
Jack Crevalle. The shallow water contains the only classic tarpon
flats outside of south Florida. The Flats are also world renowned
for the opportunity to site cast to tarpon 12 months per year.
The colonial style lodges, situated on a private coconut
studded beach, is slightly isolated and away from the hustle and
bustle of crowds yet close enough to San Pedro to enjoy a day
shopping or an evening in town.
Accommodations for 28 are clean and comfortable with private
baths, overhead fans and air-conditioning.
Buffet style meals are a delightful blend of both local and
American dishes consisting of fresh seafood, a meat selection,
potatoes, rice or pasta, fruit, vegetables, a garden salad and
home baked bread.
FISHING: From casting platform of shallow draft skiffs. Very
limited wading.

The Bonefish Grounds are 10 to 20 minutes from the lodge and
the tarpon flats start 20 minutes from there. Most of the
bonefishing is done from the bow of a boat but there are 4 or 5
flats that can be waded. The bones run from 2-5 pounds and are
plentiful. The tarpon flats are 3-8 feet deep and are quite
extensive, approximately 35 miles long by 15 miles wide. Needless
to say one hunts for tarpon.
Permit are found on the bonefish flats, some of the shallow
tarpon flats, as well as in waves coming over the reef. The permit
range from 4-30 pounds with the majority being about 8-10 pounds
and found in large schools. Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, Cobia and
Snook are also found on the flats and in the surrounding mangrove
lagoons.

specified in your package, roundtrip land and air transfers
between Belize City and El Pescador (including air, land and
sea), 9% hotel tax, sales tax where applicable, 3 meals per
day, local Belizean beverages (including soda, beer and rum)
and a welcome drink.
EXCLUSIONS: Gratuities, telephone calls, items of a
personal nature, beverages, etc. |

Information |
HOW TO GET THERE: International flight
to Belize City (BZE), usually through Houston or Miami. The
20-minute flight to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye is included in
all rates.
Travel
Adventures will be happy to assist with all of your travel
arrangements to any of our destinations, including air,
extended stays, sightseeing tours, other "stops in route",
shuttles, airport transfers, rental cars, etc.
PACKAGES INCLUDE: The number of nights
lodging and days fishing specified in your package, roundtrip
land and air transfers between Belize City and El Pescador, 7%
hotel tax, sales tax where applicable, 3 meals per day and a
welcome drink. Packages do not include the guide's tip, gear
or items purchased at the bar or tackle shop. Guides work an 8
hour day. Extra time is available for an additional $25 per
hour. However an 8 hour fishing day is usually more than
enough sun for most anglers.
RESERVATION POLICY: A non-refundable deposit of 50% per
person is required to hold both space and guides on all
packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of
deposit. Full pre-payment is due at El Pescador 90 days prior
to arrival.
CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations must be received in
writing at the lodge. Prior to 90 days 100% of deposit may be
transferred to another date/angler. Between 45 - 90 days 50%
of package may be transferred to another date or angler. Less
than 45 days may not be transferred or refunded. All
cancellations have a $100 processing fee per guest.
FISHING AND DIVING: Fishing includes either 1 or 2 anglers
per boat for 8 consecutive hours. No fishing gear is included.
The above dive rates are based on 2 tanks daily with a minimum
of 2 divers per dive. Rates include tanks, weights and weight
belt. They do not include personal gear.
All Prices are quoted in US dollars.
