Don’t have a large group… don’t want to fish alone… maybe you would like to make new friends with a similar passion for fly-fishing that you have… or just new to fly-fishing… escorted trips are the way to go.

This is a great way to enjoy a fantastic week of fishing with someone who really knows the area, the guides, the fishing, and you know we’re not going at the wrong time of the year!

Several times a year, a member of our team will lead a trip to exciting destinations around the world. Escorted trips are to destinations that we have visited in the past, while others are a bit more speculative or exploratory trips to new and exciting locations.

January 26-February 4, 2012 to Chile and the Patagonian-BaseCamp

One of our favorite trips, we have just completed arrangements with Marcel for a very "prime" week in Chile. Dry flies, streamers, nymphs - what ever you want will be available. Plus all of the hospitality that Caro and Marcel always offer. Overnight trips away from the lodge if you like ... or return to the lodge each night and enjoy a glass of Chilean wine as you relax in the riverside hot tub. May 20-31, 2012 to Argentina for Dorado!

Trip limited to 6 anglers to enjoy dorado fishing at the height of the season at the Dorado Lodge. On arrival we will relax after the over-night flight and enjoy beautiful Buenos Aires. The following day our flight to Salta will allow us an afternoon and evening to enjoy this colonial town in the northern (and wine) part of Argentina. The serious fishing begins on Thursday! On Wednesday, May 30, we depart Salta and continue with our return flight(s) home, arriving the following morning. The fishing in New Zealand is predominantly about quality not quantity. As a general rule, the bigger the fish, the fewer there are and vise versa. The fish populations in some rivers are not as numerous as in other parts of the world, but the average fish size is something else!

Fun, Friends and Adventure

These trips are fun and encourage folks to visit exotic destinations that they might not do on their own. If desired our host can also offer extra casting and fishing instruction. Trips consist of 2 to 10 clients who join a group of anglers along with a Travel Adventures’ Concierge. In addition to offering firsthand knowledge of the destination, escorted trips also provide a cohesive social environment for the group, making it an excellent opportunity for people to meet new friends and angling partners.
